Ladies and gentlemen, if I may have your attention, I'd like to share a few words about the man of the hour, Mikey.

Mikey and I go way back, about two decades give or take. We both lived in Adelaide and met at a mutual friend's party where we started talking about our love for making music.

We ended up making a few songs together and started music magnetic, our dream was to travel the world in a van making music with the people we found on the way.

Mikey moved to Sydney a few years later and we may have parted ways at that point but he did his best talking me into moving over to Sydney and only a few days later a job seemed to pop out of thin air and saw me moving to Sydney straight after.

The plan was to continue our dream of music magnetic and soon Mikey Mondays became a fixture in our lives. Those were the nights we jammed, gamed, and delved deep into the mysteries of life, the universe, and everything.

Now, Music didn't always take the front seat and there were times where these nights devolved into simply karate kicking defenseless leaves, band name?

Now, Mikey is a lover, not a fighter. He's the kind of person who's always thinking about how he can bring people together. He's up for any new experience, and that's how we found ourselves performing at Peat's Ridge with Terry and his sister with just six weeks of prep. Can I get a Peat's Ridge!?

That was definitely one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Mikey's love for new experiences doesn't stop at music. He's famous for bringing all his friends together with his hot wing feasts and his infamous cumin chicken.

And these feasts, and his great choice of friends, as can be seen looking around the room right now, has led to most of these friends becoming friends with each other, which really is a testament to the qualities of Mikey, that he attracts these quality people in his life.

He's always been a free-loving spirit, exploring the world and seeking out new experiences. But then, he met Anna. It was like he'd found someone who not only shared his love for food and travel but also his aspiration to grow and build a better life for the future.

Today, we're here to celebrate not only Mikey but the beautiful union between Mikey and Anna.

Their shared love for food, travel, and personal growth brought them together, and now they embark on this new chapter of their lives as one.
